Dominican Republic Location

The Dominican Republic (Spanish: República Dominicana) is a country in the West Indies that occupies the eastern five-eighths ofHispaniola. It has an area of 48,442 km², including offshore islands. 

 

The land border between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, which occupies the western three-eighths of the island, is 275 km long. The maximum length, east to west, is 390 km from Punta de Agua to Las Lajas, on the border with Haiti. The maximum width, north to south, is 265 km from Cape Isabela to Cape Beata. Thecapital, Santo Domingo, is located on the south coast.

 

The Dominican Republic's shores are washed by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south. The Mona Passage, a channel about 130 km wide, separates the country (and Hispaniola) from Puerto Rico.

HISTORY 

Indeed, projects such as providing speeches and conferences based on regulation and care of the natural environment, sexual education and protection, early pregnancy, abortions consequences, and human values in 30 schools (each school counting with more than 500 students) reaching around 5,000 students in 5 months.

 

On December of 2013, Youth Action SEED (Action Joven SEED) counted with 100 members, website on Facebook and 185 likes including people from Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Nicaragua, United Sates, China, Venezuela, Guatemala, Spain and Colombia. Such members transmit the ideal to their communities and meet with Jose Rosario through the web to organized, analyze and create immediate action plans to resolved issues in their respective communities.  

 

Strategically Mr. Jose Rosario had always the idea to deliver English class driven to people with monetary issues. Regardless the ONG purpose and mission, he needed to teach his neighbors, friends and acquaintance. Therefore, Jose founded the English Institute “English Action” with 15 students that are currently studying and with more than 15 more students waiting for the next semester to come to begin the courses as well. Neighbors seem to be interested on the teaching lessons that Jose was delivering. After a month “English Action” had its own book to study, markers, erasers, blackboard, place and energetic students willing to learn.   

 

On the same December 15, Action Joven SEED (Youth Action SEED) concluded the project of 20 houses built by Techo and the support of the volunteers. Accion Joven SEED was at the Bani province helping 20 families who did not have home or had them on extremely poor conditions. Accordingly with reports around 100 people (20 families) received a new brand house built with new woods and love. This project was one of the biggest projects for this movement led by Jose Rosario from Dominican Republic.

 

Other projects such as RECREATION PARK (CLEANING AND PICKING UP OF GARBAGE) were based on the embellishment of the park near the beach of the La Caleta sector. Also, another achievement such community was the placement of an electricity post demanded one year before the movement was created. He is promoter of Children International on 3 different communities.

 

Jose Rosario is currently engaged with the communities identifying needs and solving them. He has a TV program that focuses on the society problems, education, development, AIDS and other subjects that are important to the communities.
